Like-minded people achieving great things
When you become a member of the Bowen Island Conservancy you’re joining a group of like-minded people who share your values concerning nature, and who are committed to preserving and protecting it on our beautiful island.
As well, you’re making a statement about the importance of nature in your life, and you’re supporting the Conservancy’s initiatives. We appreciate that support very much!
Once you’ve joined, you don’t have to do anything to be a member. But we have lots of impactful things you can participate in.
Your membership has direct impact
In addition to receiving newsletters and event invitations, when you’re a member you share credit for accomplishments in protecting land, completing scientific studies that inform public policy and in events that bring the community together.
Membership fees help us to fund the multiple projects and events that we plan and carry out throughout the year. As well, the number of members we attract has a direct and positive impact on our applications for additional funding from various sources, showing government, funders and community partners that local people support the Conservancy’s mission.
Membership options

Individual Membership
$15 per year. For a new member joining after July 1, the first-year fee is $10.
Family Membership
$25 per year. For a new family membership beginning after July 1, the first-year fee is $15.
Join by mail
Print a copy of the membership application form, and complete it. If you wish to make an additional donation to support our work, enter the amount in the space provided at the end of the form.
Then drop it in the mail to us, with your cheque. Our address is:

While membership is not tax deduction, for donations over $20 we can issue tax receipts. Our CRA charitable registration number is: 867.261.299.RR0001
