We protect important lands and waters, advance knowledge about the island’s biodiversity and help people take part in looking after the nature around us.

Your gift can become part of a place, a plan, or years of careful work

Donor support has helped Bowen Islanders turn conservation hopes into protected places. It also carries the work that follows: learning the land, caring for it over time and sharing what is being learned with the community.

Every gift matters. You can give once, arrange a monthly contribution, or contact the Conservancy about a larger or longer-term gift.

What Giving Has Made Possible

Community donors made the 32-acre Wild Coast Nature Refuge possible in 2020. Donor support also enabled the Conservancy to purchase 160 additional acres at Cape Roger Curtis in 2024. These lands now have a future centred on protection, ecological recovery and careful public use.

Gifts also help sustain less visible work: stewardship and restoration, ecological assessment and monitoring, the Biodiversity Plan, public learning and the practical organizational capacity that keeps this work viable.

Major and legacy gifts

A significant gift, a bequest in a will, or another planned gift can support land protection and stewardship well into the future. These decisions deserve time and independent legal and financial advice. The Conservancy welcomes an early, confidential conversation about your intentions and goals.
